JLM LUBRICANTS JLM Cavity Wax J04800

JLM Lubricants’ Cavity Wax is a modern, powerful but convenient corrosion preventative, designed primarily for hidden vehicle bodywork box-sections. Its 500ML capacity ensures optimum value for all users, including garages, vehicle restorers, body shops and DIY enthusiasts.

Product information

JLM Lubricants’ Cavity Wax offers inside protection against corrosion, which starts from within a panel but becomes obvious only when it has worked its way through to the other side. By then, the damage is likely to be extensive.

JLM Lubricants’ Cavity Wax is ideal to safeguard inner sill cavities, separate chassis box sections and even behind outer body panel skins. Its handy aerosol can format avoids the need for dedicated and often messy compressed-air powered applicators, making it perfect for occasional use, or when a fast and convenient localised application is preferred. The brown wax is thin enough to creep into tight seams, while displacing water as it probes deeper into the panel. Once settled, it forms a tough, flexible skin that protects the steel against future water intrusion, including moisture contaminated by highly corrosive road salt. It can be used to either top-up the manufacturer’s factory rustproofing, or provide superior anti-corrosion protection for a coveted vehicle.

Formulated to meet the Finnish SFS 4086 corrosion protection standard, JLM Lubricants’ Cavity Wax even provides optimum protection to vehicles enduring the harshest weather conditions of Northern Scandinavia. Yet, it does not harm paint, or plastic/rubber trim.

HOW TO USE

JLM Lubricants chose the generously filled aerosol format for ease of use. As it is intended to be applied at room temperature, pre-warming is unnecessary. Shake the can well for at least two minutes before application. If the aerosol was used earlier, ensure that the nozzle is clear from previously-applied wax. Ensure that the treated surfaces are clean and dry for maximum protection. Any pre-existing rust should be treated with a suitable converter and any welding work must be completed before application.

Despite the nozzle’s wide and even spray pattern, an effective mist is also created for optimum coverage. Therefore, JLM Lubricants recommends that the user wears gloves, a breathing mask and suitable eye protection and works in a well-ventilated area. In difficult to reach parts, the supplied extension probe (60cm) provides superior access. Do not apply cavity wax to parts that can become very hot, such as the exhaust, engine, or the braking system. Once finished, allow any mist to dissipate. Surplus wax residues can be cleaned afterwards with a suitable aromatic solvent, such as white spirit.

Frequently
asked
questions

These are the most common questions we get from a potential distributor.

Can JLM Valve Saver Fluid be added to petrol?

Yes, no problem at all. In fact JLM Valve Saver Fluid is a very good and tested lead replacement additive. The treat rate is 1ml of Valve Saver Fluid for 1 liter of petrol fuel.

Is it OK to use the extreme and the DPF cleaner together. ?

No, this will not have a positive effect. In fact it may cause an adverse effect. And also the risk of overdosing! Never combine fuel additives

Will AdBlue Plus dissolve existing crystal infestation or is it more like a preventative product?

JLM’s AdBlue Plus additive cleans and prevents crystal formation in the AdBlue dosing system. It also conditions the AdBlue fluid for a longer time to ensure proper working of the AdBlue and SCR system. This helps prevent performance loss and the often-subsequent expensive repairs. It also reduces foaming at low temperatures

Is the JLM Engine Oil Flush safe for use with wet belt engines?

Our JLM OIL FLUSH is safe to use with ‘wet belts’ (TBIO). This is mainly because we use non solvent and premium pack of oil cleaning additives.

Does the Petrol Emissions Reduction Treatment also clean the catalytic convertor?

The catalytic converter is not a filter, it functions by converting harmful emission gases into less harmful gases. The filter can become contaminated if for example there has been an oil leak, and when this happens the filter needs to be replaced. There is no additive or chemical that will remove physical contamination from a catalytic.
