JLM Diesel DPF Regen Plus J02200 JLM LUBRICANTS

JLM’s Diesel DPF ReGen Plus fuel additive discourages excessive soot quantities from building within the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The results are improved emissions, performance and fuel economy but using JLM’s Diesel DPF ReGen Plus as a regular preventative maintenance measure lessens the chance of inconvenient and costly DPF breakdowns. It’s used to help the car regenerate its DPF filter.

Product information

Constantly reduced speeds and short distances are especially detrimental to DPFs. While cars thus equipped possess a sophisticated ‘regeneration’ self-cleaning function, it struggles to work under such challenging driving conditions, especially during winter. As temperatures are insufficiently high to burn soot particles, which are a natural product of burning diesel fuel, they accumulate to form stubborn, coal-like deposits that are tough enough to block the exhaust system. The car’s self-cleaning regeneration function needs support and JLM Lubricants answers the call for help with a shot of chemical expertise.

JLM’s Diesel DPF ReGen Plus enters the engine with the diesel fuel. When burnt, its formula envelops soot particles similar to that of sugar-coated chocolate confectionery. This outer coating encourages the encapsulated carbon to burn and exit the exhaust pipe at lower temperatures than would be possible otherwise.

While JLM’s Diesel DPF ReGen Plus’s gentle cleaning formulation provides additional protection for older DPF-equipped vehicles that are less tolerant to higher temperatures, it also supports the smaller DPFs, fitted to newer cars. Instead of being based on an iron catalyst, JLM Lubricants chose cerium instead, which produces less ash, an unavoidable byproduct of burning both soot and fuel additive. While ash can be removed, the procedure requires removing the DPF from the exhaust system. This explains why JLM Lubricants views the low-ash production of its cerium-based Diesel DPF ReGen Plus as being just as crucial as its superior ability to keep DPFs clear of soot accumulations, when compared to iron-based fuel additives.

HOW TO USE

JLM Lubricants never endorses over-dosing. A single 250ml bottle is suitable for 50 litres of diesel. Also, ensure that you select the appropriate product. JLM’s Diesel DPF ReGen Plus is a preventative maintenance fuel additive to avoid future problems. Should your car have either an existing blockage, or a mechanical fault that overwhelms the system with excessive soot, JLM Lubricant’s dedicated DPF cleaning products offer more appropriate cleaning solutions than this regeneration aid.

Therefore, if your engine has a fault that causes disproportionate soot production, you must rectify the underlying issue.

Frequently
asked
questions

These are the most common questions we get.

Do any of the JLM additives help the performance of the high pressure diesel fuel pump?

J02330 Rapid is perfect for pump and injectors!

Is it OK to use the JLM Extreme Clean and the DPF Cleaner together?

No, this will not have a positive effect. In fact it may cause an adverse effect. And also the risk of overdosing! Never combine fuel additives

Will JLM Bluboost dissolve existing crystal infestation or is it more like a preventative product?

JLM’s Bluboost additive cleans and prevents crystal formation in the AdBlue® dosing system. It also conditions the AdBlue® fluid for a longer time to ensure proper working of the AdBlue® and SCR system. This helps prevent performance loss and the often-subsequent expensive repairs. It also reduces foaming at low temperatures

Is the JLM Engine Oil Flush safe for use with wet belt engines?

Our JLM OIL FLUSH is safe to use with ‘wet belts’ (TBIO). This is mainly because we use non solvent and premium pack of oil cleaning additives.

Does the Petrol Emissions Reduction Treatment also clean the catalytic convertor?

The catalytic converter is not a filter, it functions by converting harmful emission gases into less harmful gases. The filter can become contaminated if for example there has been an oil leak, and when this happens the filter needs to be replaced. There is no additive or chemical that will remove physical contamination from a catalytic.
