JLM Lubricants’ Conference Welcomes Global Audience

Distributors from as far afield as Australia, Palestine, Ghana and the USA attended the JLM Lubricants’ conference which was hosted in The Netherlands – the home of the global brand. ‘Growing Together’ was the overarching theme.

Keynote speakers included Darren Darling, founder of the DPF Doctor Network and a longstanding JLM brand ambassador. Darren discussed the JLM products he uses in his workshop and gave delegates a pre-launch glimpse into the online JLM product training he has recently developed for JLM distributors and their customers. The international bestselling marketing author Dee Blick presented a masterclass on how distributors could increase their JLM sales in 2023 whilst Mark Hoff and Sabrina Pace talked about the importance of online sales and having a strong social media presence.

The conference was also an opportunity for Jeroen Schutz JLM’s newly appointed international sales manager to introduce himself to the audience and provide an insight into his illustrious career.


“We had the biggest attendance to date,” said Gilbert Groot, JLM founder and CEO. “It was fantastic that over two days we could share our vision for the brand and discuss in some detail the opportunity that every JLM distributor has to take their business to the next level with our trade trusted products - underpinned of course by our marketing and sales support.

It was really special that several DPF Doctor Network members not only attended as our guests, but they also spoke to our audience. In what proved to be a hugely popular session they talked about why they use JLM products for servicing and repairs and how they promote our brand to their customers.  

DPF Doctors Barry Lawson and Keith Shanahan were joined by Jeanette and Alan Landale, winners of the 2022 Garage of the Year award and incidentally Darren’s 100th DPF Doctor. When topflight technicians are fans of your brand and indeed your entire product range, it makes those conversations with technicians across the world so much more positive and productive.”


On the second day of the conference, delegates were treated to a day at Van Amersfoort Racing, the first ‘home’ of 4 world famous drivers -Max Verstappen, Jos Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Mick Schumacher.  
 
“The feedback from our distributors and VIP guests has been overwhelmingly positive and now the serious work begins namely turning the wealth of great ideas, intentions and sales plans into action,” concluded Groot.
